song stuck in your head

always a 6-phase process:

Phase 1: initial contact
-you first hear the song, and usually you aren't even really paying attention. It just kinda floats into you're peripheral hearing.

Phase 2: you start to hear it... in your HEAD!
-out of nowhere this tune starts to play in your head. and its always just a few seconds, so as to prevent you from easily identifying the song.

Phase 3: it takes control
-you start to find it difficult to focus on other things or keep up with conversation. you NEED to figure out what songs this is... BAM! YOU FIGURED IT OUT! now...

Phase 4: I need to hear it. I need to hear it IMMEDIATELY!
-your #1 priority in life is now hearing this song. food? no hungry. drink? not thirsty. sleep? not tired. you MUST hear the song! and then you must hear it constantly, which inevitably leads to phase 5...

Phase 5: it spreads
-due to your constant listening, whistling and humming of the tune, it will undoubtedly get stuck in others heads, spreading like the worst disease...

Phase 6: relief
-you will eventually tire of the song or a new one will implant itself, superseding the old one. either way you are finally free of its grasp! REJOICE!
