google just introduced Google Wallet, and all i have to say is PLEASE STOP, GOOGLE!!
Time, for the tough talk google. you are a SEARCH AND ADVERTISING company. It was acceptable for you to expand outwards because you had become the internet king. EVERYBODY knew google. This meant things like gmail and youtube ultimately made sense. You pretty much controlled the internet, so having these kinds of services made sense. Then came android, which was fantastic. It turned smartphones into internet-phones, directing the populace to you're kingdom.
Then facebook began to become a significant internet presence and you got scared. You thought you had to compete, so you launched services to do so. Wave? Buzz? Failures. The truth is, you just have TOO MANY services out there. Stop trying to be the answer for everything and do what you do best, SHOW people the answer to everything. An NFC payment service doesn't really make sense. It would if people were using it with YOUR shopping service, but they never will. NFC was a cool idea but launching a whole new service for something effecting the owners of a SINGLE MODEL OF A SMARTPHONE isn't going to do a whole lot...
Just stop...
